Jusan technology takes the "chequered flag" in Le Mans

Fonomail On-Call, a by product of the Fonomail ProAttendant vocal server platform, was originally designed for the new Pôle Santé Sud hospital complex at Le Mans, France with the objective of providing a dynamic call forwarding service for all critical departments from Emergencies to Technical Support.

Pôle Santé Sud is an all new 500 bed private hospital (Groupe Vedici) constructed on the outskirts of Le Mans, specialising in Maternity and Surgical Medicine, and recently inaugurated in February 2008. Inbound call traffic to the new center is intense and the number of services manned by on-call staff is high. Key to the smooth running of the establishment was an efficient automatic call forwarding service capable of making call transfers to on-call employees, according to the time and date of the call.

The Fonomail On-Call application, which is integrated with the hospital's new Aastra NexSpan communications system, provides for up to 24 simultaneous call transfer services and allows for up to 3 different numbers for each "on-call" employee. The system rings the 3 numbers in turn and if no answer is obtained sends an e-mail or SMS text message to the person concerned. Up to 99 different services within the hospital may be covered by the sytem with each service having capacity for up to 99 users (on-call staff).

This is a typically vertical solution whose possible use is vast given the number of hospitals and clinics requiring this type of critcal service, however it is also perfectly adaptable to any kind of emergency services environment in which call destination changes according to who is on-call at any particular moment. This includes medical and veterinary clinics, all critical technical support services such as elevators, alarms, IT systems etc, as well as public and diplomatic missions like Embassies and Consulates.

According to John Sanderson, Marketing Manager of Jusan, "This first installation was made in France but this product is a powerful vertical solution which we shall be adopting in numerous European markets in the near future".
